Our Design Center in Gothenburg is the global headquarters for Geely Design and focuses on delivering great design for the two brands: Zeekr and Lynk & Co.

As a Senior Exterior Studio Engineer, you will play an important role as the main link between engineering and design studio from initial concept through to the final production ready car. You will join a fast-working team dedicated to design, innovation and technology. With members that are, just like you, proud of their professionalism, motivation and level of skills. At Geely Design Center Gothenburg you will be part of a multicultural company with people who want to develop vehicles for the future and for a global market. As our Senior Studio Engineer, you will be based in Lindholmen, Gothenburg but can even have the chance to travel to China.
As a Senior Exterior Studio Engineer this is what you will do most of the time:
• Have a pronounced role in developing methods and processes for the Studio Engineering group at Geely Design.
• Be the voice of design, communicating design intents and needs within engineering.
• Helping realize design themes from sketch into production, assisting work with digital models and clay.
• Translating engineering requirements into design possibilities, generating feasible solutions for technically challenging areas.
• Arbitrate and drive compromises between engineering and design.
Suitable background and experiences:
• At least 5 years' experience of design and engineering work in the automotive industry
• Deep technical knowledge in complete vehicle engineering, regulations and standards
• Complete understanding of vehicle development process
• Competent in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter
• Fluency in English, written and spoken. Swedish and/or Chinese is a merit
• Experience of working with Asian OEM's is beneficial

We are looking for someone that is flexible, has a strong drive and can work under constrained time schedules and frequently revised circumstances. You need to be independent and confident as well as a good team player. Your communication and mediating skills are well refined, and you have the ability to find solutions where others see only problems. To be successful in the role you need to be structured, methodical and have an analytical mind with good planning skills. Cultural awareness, specifically between Europe and Asia is also an important factor for the role.
