The Exploration department has been in an expansive phase the last couple of years with responsibilities in exploration in our underground mines and open pits and their close surroundings in Malmberget, Kiruna and Svappavaara, as well as green field exploration and resource estimation.
As a senior geologist in the specialists team your main tasks will be:
To independently support the near mine and field exploration with different tasks in a combination of areas within exploration.
Oversee routines or improvements as well as mentoring younger geologists. Conduct peer reviews and quality reviews. Involvement in projects or project leading occurs.

You will be based in Kiruna or Malmberget, close to the mining operation and city of Kiruna / Gällivare, situated in Swedish Lapland above the Arctic Circle. The area offers great opportunities for fantastic outdoor activities, such as hunting, fishing, hiking, skiing, ice climbing, etc. See

Skills & Competencies
We are looking for a Senior Geologist with at least B.Sc and more than 8 years of relevant experience within exploration, mining or project development. Knowledge of common software such as Leapfrog is beneficial.
As a person you should be responsible and driven, but also percipient and flexible. The position includes a lot of collaboration with others both within and outside the company, so good collaboration and communication skills are essential.
A Driving license is a requirement for the position.
You speak and write English fluently. It 's a plus if you speak and write Swedish, but if not, we want you to be eager to learn.
