We are now looking for an Senior Expert within Group Accounting. A part of this role is to represent Group Accounting in different projects. Further, the role also include analysis work related to the external and internal financial reporting and also to ensure adherence with Volvo Car Finance Manual in cooperation with other parts of the global Finance function. The role is also a support to the consolidation team in connection with monthly and yearly closings and the role will also include to be a part of the continuous development of the Group Accounting function. Group Accounting consists of 12 dedicated employees who are responsible for the Volvo Cars consolidation and for providing financial data on consolidated level for Volvo Car Group to ensure timely, accurate and uniform data to internal and external parties.
Working in the Group Accounting department gives you a big opportunity to a wide circle of contacts within Volvo Cars, working globally and cross-functionally, as well as getting a comprehensive view of the financial activities within the group. You will also work with the core business of the company and combine the accounting with the operational view of the business. The responsibility includes ensuring adherence of the Volvo Cars Finance Manual, preparing monthly and quarterly financial calculations and analysis and reporting in line with IFRS requirements as well as PRC GAAP. The position will require extensive contact with different positions within Group Finance, Global Finance Operations and Business Control as well as with external auditors.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsibility for the adherence work within Group Accounting related to Financial reporting and accounting guidelines
* Financial analysis
* Involvement in different projects within the Group from a Group Accounting perspective
* Actively lead and develop accounting and analysis within area of responsibility
* Be a part of the future development of the Group Accounting function
* Other areas related to Group Accounting, preparation of external and internal Financial reports
Required qualifications
* University degree in Business Administration (major in finance or accounting) or equivalent
* Approximately 5-10 years of experience in finance from a global corporate production setting or audit environment with focus on consolidation and group accounting and reporting
* Good knowledge in IFRS accounting standards and Group consolidation
* Good knowledge in Excel
* Experience using Hyperion FM is beneficial, but not a must
* Fluent English verbally and in writing
