The Section for Materials Technology currently experience a high demand for our services and wish to strengthen our team within materials advisory services towards the oil and gas and maritime industries.
We are looking for an engineer with competence within NDT that can contribute to maintaining DNV's strong position within this area and help develop our team. Relevant experience from the oil and gas and/or maritime industry will be considered an advantage.
The Section for Materials Technology employs 28 specialists, while DNV world wide employs more than 250 specialists within Materials Technology.
DNV's expertise within materials technology is highly recognized by the industry.

Tasks
Materials advisory services
Development and maintenance of NDT requirements in DNV Rules for Classification
Approval of Service Suppliers (AoSS) in accordance with DNVs Approval Programme 402b (Firms engaged in NDT on offshore projects and units/components)
Verification of newbuild
Training and courses in NDT internally and externally
Quality surveillance and Vendor Inspection related to manufacturing of materials and components
NDT as part of failure investigation projects running in the section
Qualifications
You have a degree in engineering (BSc/MSc), and experience/certification within one or several of the following areas:
Level 3 NDT certification in one or more of the following techniques: Ultrasonic Testing, Visual Testing, Magnetic particle Testing, Penetrant Testing, Eddy Current Testing, Radiographic Testing
Knowledge of NDT requirements in DNV Class Rules / IS and Offshore Standards
Experience from fabrication and welding within maritime and/or oil and gas industry
Project management experience
Personal qualities
Positive and proactive attitude, professional integrity and the ability to relate to our clients' needs
Good command of the English and a Scandinavian language
Personal qualities such as personal initiative, market drive, solution orientation, ability to work in team and good communication skills will be emphasized.
Ability to and interest in acting as a project manager
