We are looking for a Senior Engineering Program Leader with outstanding people skills to lead cutting-edge technical projects to improve sustainability innovation connected to our vision and strategy.

Within Advanced Engineering and Polestar 0 Project we support the ambition by researching and exploring new technologies and technical solutions that will support our mission. True to Polestar's vision you will eagerly strive to seek out innovative and impactful solutions and lead execution of successful projects.

The challenge will entail:

• Secure delivery with the research leaders from the signed research collaborations within Minerals and metals

• Lead the strategic work securing 0 GHG material alternatives within Minerals and metals

• Identify opportunities for cross functional collaborations with internal and external stakeholders with the aim to innovate within sustainable, cutting-edge technology

• Seek out, develop and manage external and internal partnerships. Academia, research institutes, suppliers and other external partners within the Polestar 0 Project

This position is located at our HQ, in Gothenburg.

What you'll do

Main tasks:

• Lead Polestar 0 work within the Minerals and metals portfolio together with research leaders

• Set technical project scope for cross functional project opportunities within the research field, Minerals and metals

• General Project management and lead of the research activities with Research leaders

• Follow up calls for collaboration and secure partnership within your focus area

• Support Polestar's departments when they create roadmaps and action plans that needs to be in line with Polestar 0 project and Polestar's sustainability vision and strategy

• Secure delivering in alignment with Polestar 0 way of working within the Minerals and metals portfolio and support developing new ways of working when needed

Your team:

• Direct report to Advanced Engineering manager

• Part of the Polestar 0 Core team, reporting to the Head of Polestar 0

• Part of the global Advanced Engineering community

Who you are

• You have more than 3 years experience leading innovation and cutting edge technology development within research and development

• Good social skills and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues and partners

• You are energized by working in a creative start-up environment, taking action where you see potential and creating structure where needed

• You have a proven track record in managing projects and cross-functional work groups

• Preferably you have a relevant university degree (>3 years) within mechanical engineering, minerals & metals or similar

• Not required but preferred if you have experience from writing applications for funding opportunities
