What You Will Do
Inspire, lead, shape, and grow a software engineering organization consisting of 3-8
team members.
Manage and drive procurement for third-party products that your team depends on.
Drive continuous improvement, focusing on quality in your own team and across teams.
Scope and own a problem space, develop fact-based arguments, present to senior
management or CXOs, and articulate a vision and mission statement.
Prioritize and optimize for the highest speed in execution.
Take calculated risks, anchor with different stakeholders, and articulate short- and
long-term consequences.
Continuously develop relationships between product, engineering, and key stakeholders
across all domains.
Influence and drive software design discussions.
Translate business needs into capability build-up and hiring plans for your team.
Play a key role in helping us continue attracting, developing, and retaining great
engineering talent.
Act swiftly to changes in direction, re-evaluate priorities, and steer the team accordingly.
Manage the budget for the team and dependencies.
Who You Are
Proven experience in leading and managing software engineering teams.
Strong background in software development and engineering practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate
your team.
Experience in driving procurement for third-party products and managing budgets.
Ability to develop and present fact-based arguments to senior management.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take calculated risks.
Experience in developing relationships with key stakeholders across multiple domains.
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and quality in software
engineering teams.
Ability to translate business needs into capability build-up and hiring plans.
Experience in influencing and driving software design discussions.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to act swiftly in changing environments.
Awesome to Have
Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
Knowledge of the fintech industry and related technologies.
Experience in managing remote teams.
