hela Sverige Interfacing with both the generalist and specialist solution architects (MS internal and Customer) to mentor and evangelize Azure Data services.
Promote and position yourself as Azure Data Services, MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and Migration subject matter expert.
Executing limited POCs and Pilots.
Reporting to internal and external teams as business objectives / business value conditions are met.
Documenting and sharing technical best practices / insights within engineering and the wider architect community
Bring the feature gaps and new feature requests back to product group engineering and owning the responsibility for driving these changes where applicable
Participate and contribute to key engineering activities like telemetry reviews, code and design specification review.
Work closely with feature PMs and Software engineers.
Pre-Sales Solution Architecture Consultation.
Support migration delivery projects for data tier.
Working with both Partner/Customer and Microsoft account teams on the high potential accounts where engineering assistance is required for modernization projects
Advise pre-sales & technical teams on best practice architectures for customer facing solutions. This can be both a proactive activity where you build a plan to pursue a specific technical scenario or it can be a reactive response to a customer need or request for proposal.
Executing quick technical feasibility and proposal development for moving identified workloads to Azure Data Platform.
Building a technical and security architecture in Azure Data Platform for the selected workloads
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of relevant Architect Engineering experience.
10+ years of hands on deep proficiency with Oracle DB, Exadata, Golden Gate, MSSQL, or PostgreSQL.
10+ years of Oracle technologies starting from the database tier through to application understanding, and certainly a subject matter expert on Oracle database technologies.
10+ years of communication protocols such as ODBC, JDBC, ADO.NET etc. and Oracle specific interfaces such as OCI.
10+ years of hands on experience of architecting and building and/or migrating mission critical operational systems running on large scale enterprise databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
Enterprise-scale data migration experience from Oracle technologies, starting from project scoping to data/app migration and final certification and post-migration performance tuning.
Have hands-on experience and understanding of SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services and Azure Data Factory.
Good to have breadth experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL.
Fluent knowledge of how customers assess, purchase and manage their public cloud solutions.
Good to have knowledge of competitor cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, IBM and Oracle Clouds.
Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to connect technology with measurable business value.
Demonstrated technical thought leadership in customer facing situations.
Be self-driven and show ability to deliver on ambiguous technical challenges with incomplete data.
Ability to drive deep internal engineering conversations on potential strategy toward improving our Azure Data Services and own this input end to end.
Bachelor's Degree or Higher in computer science, Information Technology, or related field required.
