We are now looking for a Senior Engineer Wheel Suspension System!
Description
Position is located within an engineering squad team. In this role, you will have the responsibility to define short and long-term strategies and innovations for our wheel suspension systems. You will also have a leading role to create "next generation suspension technology" for the future Electric Vehicles. You will lead technical requirement settings on component and system level but also act as mentor and expert in various forums. Your background should include thorough and detailed knowledge within the area of expertise.
You will work close to Vehicle Dynamic Engineers, both simulation and development, and also together with all business areas, line and projects within our Engineering and Marketing Department. Externally you will work together with suppliers, engineering service providers and universities.
The role also involves:
- Support the Chassis engineering and product development organization with a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge on wheel suspension system.
- Lead feasibility activities of new engineering proposals
- Develop and communicate results and suggest solutions within your area.
- Participate in vehicle evaluation, driving and riding.
- Lead technical communication with supplier through the complete product development lifecycle.
- Define technical specifications on system level
- Support defining technical specifications on component level
- Identify opportunities and/or implement changes to improve system performance
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures of concerned suspension systems.
- Establish and maintain internal and external network with suspension expertise.
- Assure deliverables according to project plan.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree or equivalent experience
- Relevant engineering experience in the work area, minimum 10 years.
- A thorough and proven knowledge of understanding Vehicle and Wheel Suspension
- Experience with agile methodologies in a cross-functional team is a plus
- Fluent in English both spoken and written
- Driver license for vehicle

NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
