This is also technologies we at Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna do research and development within for our machines. Nevertheless, this paradigm shift in the automotive industry introduces new security and safety challenges that used to be more associated with "IT Security" and "Aviation Safety", respectively. This is where the Cybersecurity and Functional Safety comes into the picture not only to strengthen prevailing safety expertise and culture but also to address contemporary security and safety risks of electrical and/or electronic embedded systems.
We in the Electric and Electronics (E&E) Platform department is on an exciting and challenging journey and need to expand our team. We are now recruiting several System Engineers within different areas of expertise to help drive development and implementation of new and existing technology.
We develop and provide Volvo CE machines with Base EE system platforms used as the foundation and enabler for all electronic controlled functions and features to support connectivity, service solutions, autonomous functions, electromobility as well as machine operational functions making Volvo CE to be one of the best machines in the world. We are responsible to drive, develop and maintain our Electronic Architecture platform commonly used by all machines within Volvo CE.
About the position- Senior Engineer in Product Cybersecurity
We are aiming for strengthening our team within product development and knowledge in the cybersecurity area. You will be part of a team for embedded platform system development were your expertise are in the area of product cybersecurity. You have opportunities not only to apply your current skills but also to acquire new skills to ensure that our Embedded system platform meet cybersecurity requirements. This requires performing threat analysis and risk assessment in the context of electrical and/or electronic systems of our current and future products. You contribute with technical concepts and solutions to mitigate cybersecurity risks and fulfill the requirements. Our cybersecurity specialists and experts within Volvo group will guide you in understanding and performing the relevant activities.

Required qualifications
Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or other relevant technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
Knowledge and profound interest in cybersecurity relevant topics
Knowledge about safety-relevant embedded system and software design
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and you either speak Swedish or you are eager to learn a new language
Beneficial qualifications
It is meritorious to have one or more of the following:
Experience of working with electrical and/or electronic system in the automotive industry
Knowledge about IT/Cyber security frameworks and risk management
Good understanding of robust and reliable system/software engineering/design principles
