Within the Electromobility department, we work with the design and development of electromobility systems and components such as energy storage, motor drives, and charging solutions for Volvo group products. Electromobility is an important technology area with a strong contribution to reducing the CO2 emissions in our society.
About the role
The opportunities are endless, and it's all thanks to the rapidly growing Electrical vehicle development. To stay one step ahead, we have an even stronger focus on components than before.
Right now, we are looking for you who want to spend your days hand-on with our components while also contributing to finding the best design concept together with the development team and our suppliers while always having the customers in mind. You want the balance, and it's exactly what you will get here. We are in the midst of developing a new component palette which is used in all different applications through the whole Volvo group using the traction voltage system, i.e., commercial electric vehicles. Your primary task is to follow up the results and see what works and what doesn't. You will also make sure we are on schedule for the project deliveries as well as aligning with our stakeholders. Due to the complexity in managing a component palette that covers through the whole platform, documentation and communication is important - therefore we think you enjoy structure and collaboration with others. Agile is our way of working, and together with your team you will be able to paint the bigger picture, identify the objectives, set priorities, and support the team on the journey towards implementing the new concept. Qualifications:
Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics engineering, or similar
2-5 years of experience in component development
2-5 years of experience working with High Voltage Traction Voltage Systems
Meritorious with knowledge and experience in product development of cables and/or connectors in high voltage systems, preferably within the Automotive industry
Volvo product development, release processes and tools knowledge is meritorious
