VOLVO Group Trucks Technology-Vehicle Connectivity is leading the development of in-vehicle connectivity based solution for the whole VOLVO Group. At Vehicle Connectivity we are in the middle of the digital transformation, and we work with implementing end-to-end functions like Driver Coaching, I-See, Remote SW Download, Vehicle apps and Geofencing. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. The development in connectivity is huge, and we expect to be part of the functional growth in Active Safety and Automation. By combining the latest technologies within connectivity, automation and new business models we are in the forefront of the development and deployment of these technologies for the benefits of our customers. Right now we are in an expansive phase of the technology development and we are in need of technology experts who can help us to build up the future vehicle connectivity platform.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
You will work in a team responsible for development of new systems and technology. Our mission is to deliver world class hardware and software products in the area of vehicle connectivity. You can look forward to an individual and inspiring position together with many enthusiastic and professional colleagues. You will in this role drive and participate in various product development projects to improve existing and/or create new solutions. Additional to high interest in development of technical solution, team working and innovative thinking provide you very good opportunities to advance in your carrier.
Required technical competencies:
Software Development in Modern C++ 14/17
Embedded Linux, Yocto
Communication protocols CAN, TCP/IP etc.
Continuous Integration, git, Jenkins

Qualifications
M.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics, Software and/or Computer engineering
2 years of experience in software development
Electrical & Electronics hardware configuration and setup (specifically RF systems)
Short Range Communication (802.11p)
Vehicular AdHoc Network (VANET)
Scripting languages like Python and Bash
Cyber Security, SSL/TLS
Positioning (GPS)
Fluent in English, spoken and written
