Group BF74243, Chassis Electrical Installation & Pneumatics Module under Cab team in Gothenburg, is responsible for routing and installations for Chassis electrical (signal and high voltage) and pneumatics systems and components. The development includes design, planning, documentation, validation, and verification of pneumatic and electrical installation. Our work is carried out in all stages of product development: complete vehicle projects, product maintenance and component projects. The work is performed in close co-operation in a multi-cultural environment with both internal and external contacts such as our different development sites around the world and suppliers.
Task and responsibilities
Work as a Senior Engineer with responsibility for Component and Quality improvement work as well as new development in projects related to Pneumatic and Electrical installations.
Main design work tool is KOLA (Volvos main documentation system), CREO and Jira.
This task will also include other data systems and documentations for reporting etc. reporting for a cross functional team including Purchasing, Production, FVV, Aftermarket etc. You will also work in teams and there you need to be able to share and delegate work. This also include delegating to consultant work packages and our other sites, mainly delegation to our site in Bangalore, India and Curitiba, Brazil

We see that you have a university degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or equivalent and minimum 10 years of engineering experience within the area of sheet metal engineering and/or plastic engineering
Your qualifications will also include:
• Proficient in CAD (CREO) and PDM systems
• Good automotive knowledge, truck and/or electric automotive knowledge is a merit
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and strategies
• Good knowledge of Develop concept and Develop and Document Technical solution processes
• Good knowledge of the engineering tools and verification processes/methods in this design area
As an engineer in Chassis and Vehicle Engineering you are a person with:

• High interest in technology development and strategic product changes to further enhance our products
• Analytical skill to identify areas for improvements
• An openness for constant change and a drive for improvements
