Senior Engineer - Analysis and Visualisation

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As SENIOR ENGINEER - ANALYSIS AND VISUALISATION within the group Perceived Quality - Geometry & Surface Finish you will be responsible for visualisations and analyses of perceived quality in all development phases. You will work closely with the group Material Quality and Illumination and together the two teams are in charge of the attribute Perceived Quality. You will have a central position in your group and cooperate with and support a broad span of roles.
The department Craftmanship & Ergonomics Centre, unites development of the attributes Perceived Quality, Solidity and Ergonomics. These attributes are the foundation for the customer's luxury experience and thereby central to the Volvo Cars' brand. Perceived Quality - Geometry & Surface Finish is a new section at Craftmanship & Ergonomics Centre with 13 employees. The section is responsible for attribute development and analysis in all phases of the development process.

Job profile:
• Create and develop virtual visualisation models
• Perform simulations and analyses based on results and experience
• Develop technical solutions
• Participate in method development
• Document visualisation and simulation results

Your profile:
• University degree or equivalent
• Experience of product development within Automotive, preferably Body & Trim
• Good knowledge of styling visualisation
• Well developed skills in CAD within Automotive, preferably Catia
• Experience of integration/package work
• Good knowledge of geometry assurance
• Analytic and innovative
• Driven and strong in documentation
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
