hela Sverige On-board Telematics (OBT) is a global organization within GTT Vehicle Engineering, established to secure connected vehicles supporting the increasing demand for soft products. Connectivity is a key enabler for fleet management, uptime services and advanced vehicle services such as driver assistance and fuel reduction, targeting reduced costs as well as increased revenues. The telematics components build a global telematics platform utilized by the brands within the Volvo group.
The products developed at GTT have a complex functionality, which is divided into a set of independent E2E (End-to-End) functions. When developing the E2E functions at OBT, we strive for a balance between commonality and brand distinction. This requires careful communication and coordination with different stakeholders such as Product Planning, Brand representatives and other Engineering departments.
OBT platform and technology department develops and verifies embedded systems that integrate with the vehicle electronic architecture and the telematics back office systems.You will join a tight team of highly skilled engineers, well organized with colleagues in US, France, India and Japan.
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer to strengthen our software development group in Göteborg. You will be a key player in shaping the future telematics software development group!
Senior Embedded Software Developer
Core Responsibilities
• Design and implement telematics functions, practice model based development using the IBM Rhapsody tool, generating C++ code.
• Design and implement concepts
• Take on responsibility of different software competence areas and/or modules
• Improvement work
• Take on responsibility of some software tools (optional)
Required Qualifications
• Master's degree in computer science / computer engineering or equivalent education
• Minimum 5 years working experience from embedded software design in (OO C++)
• Well spoken and written English
Meriting Qualifications
It is meritorious if you have experience in Model based design in IBM Rhapsody or similar, been working with ClearCase or GIT, have practiced agile software development and also been working in distributed teams. If you are interested and have experience in software tools in general, this could be a valuable for the group. Also a background from the IT area is commendable.

As a Senior Embedded Software Developer you are expected to enjoy working in teams as well as on your own, take responsibility, be creative and innovative, have good communication skills, be generous and share knowledge. You should have a drive to develop as a professional and accept new challenges in our dynamic environment. An open multi-cultural mind-set is required.
