The embedded software team at Profoto creates the code that enables photographers all over the globe to create great light in every image. The products our software control range from very small handheld LED lights to incredibly powerful xenon flashes. The importance of software in these products increases as they becomes more and more connected and software is replacing hardware for system control. Profoto is now looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer to join the existing team.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer who has experience in all parts of the development process from specification to implementation and test.
We are looking for a person who has knowledge both in code generation and in supporting areas such as configuration management, continuous build systems and hardware in the loop testing, and who is willing to share his or her knowledge with others.

Key responsibilities
As a Senior Embedded Software Developer you will be working in the Embedded Software group and report to the manager of the group. The work is carried out in an agile team delivering to product development projects. The main responsibilities will be to
• Develop clean, testable and maintainable C and C++ code within ongoing projects
• Develop and maintain continuous build systems
• Define and document architecture for software and systems
• Collaborate with electronics and mobile app developers to provide outstanding user experience
• Work with feature growth, maintenance and bug fixing of the existing product range
Requirements
To be successful in this position the following is required
• MSc or similar degree in a relevant area such as electronics, computer science mechatronics or similar
• Extensive industrial experience of embedded systems development
• Experience with standard tools for development of embedded ARM systems
• Experience with continuous integration and testing
• Excellent skills in C and modern C++
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
Your profile
You are an experienced developer that likes to take responsibility for planning your own work and easily communicates with others both within and outside the team. You are experienced form working with embedded product development, with a profound understanding of some or several of the fields listed below:
• ARM Cortex-M class micro controllers
• Real time operating systems
• Control theory
• Bluetooth low energy
• Proprietary 2.4GHz radio protocols
• Experience from development with Linux, Python, Git and Jenkins
