We maintain competence in the areas of fleet & vehicle management services, wireless data communication, positioning, real time operation systems, vehicle integration and software engineering. Our employees are a tight team of highly skilled and well organized project managers, software architects and system designers.
We develop on-board software for Dynafleet (Volvo Trucks), OptiFleet (Renault Trucks) and Volvo Link (Volvo Trucks NA) fleet management systems.
We have a mature and well-documented software development process, evaluated according to Automotive SPICE and CMMI. To support our process, we use tools like CaliberRM (for requirements management), Rhapsody (for system design and code generation) and ClearCase (for configuration management).
Position Description
You will develop embedded telematics/fleet management applications in UML and C++, using code generating tools. You will work in product development or advanced engineering projects with typically 5-15 colleagues with responsibility for your own and possibly other colleagues? work.
At VTEC you will have the opportunity to develop your competence, as a matter of fact we expect you to. This could be done by deepening your competence in one application domain or by working in different domains. Another way to develop is to change between Research, Advanced Engineering and Product development projects.
Profile
We are looking for an experienced software designer within embedded C++ programming, design and unit testing.

Qualifications
Master?s degree in computer science / computer engineering or equivalent education
Minimum 5 years working experience from software design
Well spoken and written English
Merits
Experience of C++/OO Modeling, Rhapsody, Autosar, Windows Mobile, RTOS, Lauterbach debuggers, ARM and hardware is considered merits.
