hela Sverige The Machine Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites application for a Senior Electrical Operations Engineer to the Installation Support & Technical Infrastructure Group within the Engineering and Integration Support division (EIS division).
Main responsibilities
You will be acting as ESS nominated person in control of an electrical installation during work activities and will perform the following tasks:
• Plan the electrical installation, service and maintenance work to be carried out.
• Carry out risk assessments and electrical safety planning in cooperation with the Electrical Safety Leader and, where appropriate, the Electrical Safety Coordinator(s), before the installation work begins. Continuously monitor work and assess during installation work.
• Elaborate framework including associated procedures, rules and guidelines associated to operation, service and maintenance of the electrical installations within ESS e.g. provide directive on content of a work order and an operational order. This should be done in co-ordination with the Environment, Safety, Health & Quality department.
• Establish and maintain necessary framework agreements to ensure long-term availability of resources needed to operate the electrical infrastructure systems within ESS.
• Provide general support to the group leader to maintain procedures, rules and guidelines for the work to be performed.
• Coordinate procurement of personnel and equipment when it gives ESS advantages in terms of pricing, volumes and effectiveness related to electrical operation and maintenance.
You will also work in close collaboration with the design and engineering organization, performing design but also provide support and input for the design being performed.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position we believe you have an engineering degree within relevant engineering discipline or equivalent, and preferably 7 years of work experience in the field of operation of electrical installations. This has given you excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant standards and regulations within the electrical domain and the challenges it presents. We think that you in addition have at least 3 years of experience from design and engineering work related to electrical power distribution systems, preferably within the plant design field.
You have a well-developed ability to listen, consult others and to communicate proactively with a high level of integrity. Excellent oral and written English skills and a well-developed ability for both collaborative and independent work are expected.

Duration & Location
The position is permanent with six months initial probationary period. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. Start date on a mutually agreed date, but preferable as soon as possible.
