hela Sverige We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our passionate Electrical Engineering team based in Stockholm. By joining us, you will be a key player in delivering the Electrical system and Harness Design for Northvolt Products and contribute to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.
About the job
Your main responsibility is to support the team with electrical design and harness design for Battery Packs, Electrical Distribution System, Protection Modules for Industrial and Energy Storage Products within Battery System. It consists of Electrical sub system Design, Wiring Harness, Connectors and busbars, grounding strategy for both low and High voltages.
Specifically, you have a deep understanding of working with electrical design and wiring harness design as well as product development.
You will have a very close cooperation with Mechanical, Electro Mechanical, Electrical Hardware, Functional Safety, Purchasing, Systems, Validation and Manufacturing and Aftermarket team, Function owners and Test engineers. But also the constant integration with other design teams within battery systems technology areas, as well as several suppliers. You will also be involved in both internal and external technical cross functional discussions and recommendations to secure project deliveries, making sure that the deadlines are met with the right quality and at the right cost.
About the team
The team you would join will primarily support the Battery Systems customer projects where we do wiring/cable harness design, packaging of electrical components, electrical sub system design for various products.
The Electrical Engineering team with 7 Engineers based at Stockholm and we as a team are thrilled and working efficiently to focus on one goal to build cleaner world. And we are eagerly happy to welcome you to our team to join our mission.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design of Wiring Harness (Low Voltage & High Voltage)
Design of Electrical sub system.
Design of Electrical Schematic in Zuken E3.
Selection of wires/cables and components such as connectors, terminals, protections etc.
Manage Design documentations includes BOM, Drawings, Releases etc.
Change Management and design data handling with PDM.
Build, develop and maintain relations with key stakeholders such as design engineers, cross functional teams and suppliers.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
A Bsc/Msc degree in Electrical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Relevant University Degree
Experience working in Electrical Distribution Systems and wiring harnesses.
Sub system schematic design and selection of components such as wires/cables, connectors, terminals etc.
Preferred experience in E3 Zuken or other relevant ECAD softwares.
Proficient knowledge and experience in industry standards (IEC, UL etc.)
Experience in selection of electrical components like connectors, wires, fuses etc.
Experience in designing busbar is an added advantage
Knowledge in DFMEA is an added advantage
Must have worked in multi-cultural environment
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus
Highly organized and result-driven

Has a can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
Ability to work in a high profile and often high pressured international environment
