hela Sverige You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. Robotics develops, manufactures and markets robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. We have bases in Västerås, Jönköping and the Gothenburg area in Sweden. Over 90% of our production goes to export and our customers include all major auto manufacturers. The auto industry and its sub suppliers and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with robots. Welding, machine tending, materials management, grinding, packaging and assembly are the most common applications. Our robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies - companies we call our Partners.
Tasks
Seize this opportunity to take on a senior role in a successful unit operating within the fast-growing robot industry. As Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware Development and Customization team and play a vital role in our hardware development. Your main mission will be to manage the electrical design of our robot control systems and develop transformers, circuit breakers, fuses, cables, connectors and other electrical components together with sub-suppliers. You will work with electrical circuit diagrams as well as manage the design of cable harness. Finally, you will be given the chance to act as specialist within your area of responsibility. Travels to other R&D sites and suppliers will occur.
To successfully take on this senior position, you need to be a driven team player. You contribute with your systematic thinking and ability to build large networks. As a foundation, you preferably hold a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering along with at least 10 years' experience from an international environment. This you combine with solid experience from electrical design. Expertise knowledge in connectors and cables and how to manufacture these is also required, whereas experience of modular product design is beneficial. Today, you are probably working with similar tasks in an industrial company. Fluency in English and Swedish is a must, whereas knowledge in German will be to your advantage.
