Who are we
Brightstep is a consulting company working with consulting in e-commerce and implementation of technical solutions for more than 12 years. What can Brightstep mean for your development
As a developer / architect you are installing, designing, configuring, developing and testing highly advanced e-commerce solutions for large companies. Development is done in Java and the development environment based on Eclipse which is fully integrated with the platforms.
We work with established platforms for e-commerce and e-commerce solutions used by large players. There will be the opportunity for you to work with both the specification and new development for storefront, search, SEO, analysis of traffic data, integration of social media, email marketing, smart integration and evaluation of new functionality in conjunction with partners. For example the social and mobile scene are affecting how we behave and are therefore highly interesting areas for our clients.
Who are you
We are looking for a Java developer with several years of experience working with web applications in general and eCommerce solutions in particular. The Java developer will work as a member in an implementation team. The team is led by a team lead/Scrum master and consists of a team with architect, developers, testers and requirement analysts.
Tasks
• Participate in sprint planning meetings where requirements are split into development tasks and planned for the upcoming sprint.
• Define the best solution for and implement requirements specified in user stories or tasks.
• Participate in designing system architecture with the rest of the team and make sure that the solution is robustly built and well documented.
Specific competence:
Must have experience of:
• At least 5 years of java development
• Extensive experience within web development and/or System integration
• Spring Framework (Min 2.0 and annotations)
• MVC Frameworks (ie JSF, Struts, SpringMVC)
Should have experience of:
• E-commerce solutions
• Test driven development
• Payment solutions (ie. DIBS, Klarna?)
• System architecture
• Working in an agile way
Could have experience of:
• The Hybris e-commerce platform
• Ajax / Rest / WebServices
• DHTML, AJAX, jQuery, Web services.
• Analysis & Design experience
• Cache frameworks
• Database design
• Configuration management
• Server management
Tools & processes
• IntelliJ or Eclipse
• Subversion
• Jira / Greenhopper
• Scrum
Other
• You are accurate and flexible.
• You like to work in a fast pace and you are committed to your work.
• You are social and straight forward and can communicate problems and solutions.
• You like team work, but are also able to plan your own work.
• Good communication skills in English including written documentation
