The role as Senior Director Driver Interaction & Infotainment reports directly to the Vice President of Vehicle Software and Electronics and you will be part of her Management team.
The Driver Interaction & Infotainment department is part of the Vehicle Software & Electronics unit within Product & Quality. Driver interaction & Infotainment includes Driver Information, Vehicle settings, Interaction engineering, Audio, Speech & Language, Infotainment Platform, Telephony and Telematics (Volvo on Call), Navigation, Entertainment and Connected functions.
On top of the current development you will be responsible for defining the future of the connected infotainment systems, the user experience as well as the evolution of in-car OS and in-car app development and eco-system.
As the Senior Director for this department, you will work in a truly challenging and inspiring part of the organisation. The department is approximately 400 developers, with 10 direct reports.
You will have the complete responsibility for the infotainment development deliverables in the business plan product portfolio. In addition you will also be responsible for the continued transformation of the department towards SW centric agile development principles. This includes transformation of the planning, program set-up as well as the build-up of continuous integration, delivery and deployment in collaboration with the other units in Vehicle SW&Electronics.
Main responsibilities
* Define and align strategies for systems and components developed by Driver Interaction & Infotainment
* Deliver technology to enable the best customer experience supporting the business goals of Volvo Cars
* Deliver systems and components that is fulfilling the requirements within time and cost frames to all car programs with high quality and low risk
* To build and maintain an efficient and an effective organisation
Required qualifications
* Master of Science or equivalent and a deep knowledge of leading SW development with agile methods (+10 years of experience).
* You should have documented experience from leading large SW development organisations, including how to organize agile SW development and how to achieve high quality SW deliverables.
* You should have a documented experience of systematically driving large-scale change.
* To be fluent in English, have an EU/Swedish driver's license for passenger car (b-körkort).

* Self-motivated and with a proven ability to challenge and excellent ability to take initiatives, plan and execute with a strong degree of business awareness, customer focus, superb analytical and strategic skills are essential.

* Strong leadership skills with high integrity, relationship oriented, communicative and good ability to encourage your employees.
