Senior Director, Corporate Strategic Initiatives
As Senior Director, Corporate Strategic Initiatives you will be a key business leader responsible for leading executive initiatives, strategic partner projects, organizational and process re-engineering. Responsible for ensuring executive strategies and innovation opportunities are implemented within the organization. Main duties and responsibilities will include: Executive Initiatives Responsible leader for executive strategic councils Direct the implementation of R&D product initiatives globally. Fiscal management of corporate R&D budget of circa $20m. Responsible for ensuring executive customer initiatives are communicated and implemented throughout the company. Strategic Partner Projects Business focal for joint ventures and/or partner opportunities in areas of innovation. Direct partner projects in support of corporate goals and objectives and business plan Responsible for ensuring business alignment of joint venture projects Direct management of consultants and direct
staff Organizational and process re-engineering Lead executive

The successful candidate must hold an MBA and have at least 10-12 years' experience working in the In-Flight Entertainment industry with at least 8-10 years working at Director Level within a global/international environment. Knowledge & experience with Panasonic products (IFE/ GCS/ etc.) along with extensive experience in product development and innovation in a global capacity is essential. You must have demonstrated the ability to work within a highly innovative and fast moving technology company, with specific experience within mobile applications, software, IFE and airline communications (broadband, wireless). You will have experience in applying creativity and innovation to solve complex problems and must be able to be personally effective in a cross cultural international business environment. The art of negotiation and the ability to persuade others is vital. You will be fluent in both written and spoken English. Must possess the ability to highly effectively develop and negotiate deals related to innovation and related business development opportunities. Travel is essential for this role, it is expected you may travel upto 40% of your time both locally and internationally. 8+ years in the management of complex projects, preferably aviation or avionics. Prefer strong technical background at systems level or 5+ years leading cross functional product management team.
