Position description

As part of the Digital Radio Algorithms Design team in Lund You will be responsible for the development of Digital Radio Algorithms to be applied in Ericsson Radio Units (RU). Radio units are an essential part of Ericsson's 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G base stations and You will develop antenna near signal-processing firmware for radio signal enhancement. The team in Lund works in close collaboration with similar teams in Kista, Stockholm.

Antenna near signal processing algorithms are investigated, developed and delivered to ASIC/FPGA teams for implementation. Our teams are involved in all phases of technology development from research and technical studies, to pre-development and product development

Daily work could consist of designing algorithms for Linearization, Clipping, Filtering, Cancellation and Antenna Calibration. It can include design and implementation of interfaces, radio modelling, synchronization, scheduling logic but also advanced troubleshooting and customer support. Together with our team You will be responsible for delivering part of the digital radio on-chip design that is the heart of our Ericsson Radio units.

Position Qualifications
• You have a Master's Degree, PhD or similar in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics or Computer Science.
• Proficiency and experience within the field of signal processing incl. non-linear signal processing common in telecommunication systems and radio technology.
• You are an experienced user of Matlab or similar programming language.
• Knowledgeable in Object-Oriented programming in general, or in Matlab specifically, is an advantage.
• Broad knowledge and understanding in both HW and Firmware / SW domain.
• Ideally you also have knowledge in Radio System requirements for the standards GSM, WCDMA, LTE and NR.
