As part of Development & Engineering, the D&E Packaging Material organization is responsible to develop, maintain and implement world class packaging material and converting solutions, enabling Tetra Pak to deliver competitive packaging solutions.
As a Development Engineer you will develop, evaluate, validate and document innovative solutions related to extrusion coating, delivering this to our development projects. You will do this by taking ownership of your technical solutions both as a member of a team but also sometimes coordinating others. You will part of a team 8 persons working as Development Engineers and Technology Specialists.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Technical scouting: Be aware of external expertise and solution providers within relevant competence area
• Develop innovative solutions based on technical specifications in Extrusion Coating
• Translate market, cost and technical requirements into technical specifications
• Together with competence/line manager approve, validate and document with calculations and detailed analysis the above solutions in Development Reports
• Advise Tetra Pak organization on specific technical subjects and current solutions
• Share competence knowledge in the relevant competence areas within Tetra Pak
• Build and maintain internal and external competence networks

You like to participate to the team and have a clear understanding of the relevance of sharing information with your peers. The position will include travelling approx 30% of your time.
You have 5-10 years of experience from working with extrusion coating preferably with polymers and material transport. You have an educational background within chemical/physics/material engineering.
