We are searching for a senior developer to join our team at Digpro's headquarters in Stockholm. We're expanding to new markets and investing more than ever in our products - we need your help to succeed. Our products support essential public services and have a long life span which requires high quality and a special focus on the maintainability of the code.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a senior developer at Digpro you embody all of our company values: supportive, reliable and inventive. You work together with other developers, designers, testers and technical writers in a product team specialized on a specific part of the product code and lead by a product owner. You are encouraged to look for areas within your work that can be improved regarding collaboration, scalability and knowledge spreading.
The main areas of responsibility are to ensure that the quality of our code is maintained by spreading your knowledge about secure and efficient coding through mentorship, support and code review process. To understand the trade-offs involved in developing high-quality software under time constraints, and be able to have constructive discussions about scope, quality and deadlines with e.g. project managers, product owners, and other members of the team.
In this role you will;
• Work with hands on programming
• Be a role model and archetype for developers and other colleagues
• Coach and mentor colleagues within your area of expertise
• Drawing the technical solution on how to realize a demand / requirement / request
• Perform time estimations for development tasks
• Write technical documentation and "Howtos"
• Demonstrate developed features
• Be part of the third line technical support
• Help out in creating technology parts of commercial bids and proposals
• Be a constructive problem solver to help us achieve a competitive technical position
To succeed in this role you have:
• A relevant education in computer science.
• Previous work experience as a software developer
• Very good knowledge in Java and SQL, Java Swing experience is an advantage
• Strong analytics skills and knowledge of algorithms and data structures
• An open mind regarding new ideas, needs, requirements and opportunities in a changing world
• Interest in constructive discussions regarding opportunities and solutions together with several different stakeholders
