About us
As Senior Design Engineer for the Centre console, you will be working from the concept phase all through the industrialization phases up until production start. The work will be carried out within an agile team in collaboration with other system teams and external stakeholders.
You will coordinate and lead the efforts to reach the technical objectives and secure the deliveries within the given time and budget. The work will require close contact with other areas within product creation, external stakeholders and suppliers. You will be reporting directly to the agile team leader (PO Product owner) and your Team Manager. In this role you will be given the possibility to improve your leadership skills, coordinating much of the work within the team. You will also be able to deepen your technical knowledge of the system area and are given the chance to build new networks within the company. Main responsibilities: Lead and coordinate the work of the cross functional design team, securing product development deliveries. Together with the team, develop technical solutions and documentation that describe the systems. Initiate and assure that corrective actions are carried out when deviations occur. Together with the responsible design engineers, set up, manage, and follow up the component development time plans. Performing Demo sessions with relevant stakeholder reviewing progress and risks.
Required qualifications:
Minimum B.Sc. Mech. Engineering or equivalent based on work experience. At least 3 years' experience from product development within vehicle hardware. English, both in speech and writing. An asset would be if you have previous experience as a team/project leader. Technical knowledge of previous work with interior parts is meritorious.
Personal qualities:
Self-motivated with a strong delivery orientation, High cooperation ability and communication skills. Structured and used to summarize and present and demo. Ability to guide others and build efficient teams. Experiences in agile way of working is beneficial. High energy and can-do mentality.
You have a positive attitude, and you possess the courage to take the initiative and drive for progress. You need to be comfortable engaging with others and being service minded. We are looking for a great spirit that will bring in new ideas and competence to our team!
