WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our Product Design & Integration team is now looking to strengthen the team with a creative and passionate Senior Design Engineer . The aim for this role is to focus a bit more on the manufacturing side of our, and our customers product development. To succeed in this role, you need a curious and creative attitude as well as a structured and well-organized mind-set. You enjoy challenges and appreciate working in close collaboration with different stakeholders. Given our fast-paced growth, our global ambitions, and our disruptive technology, this role will require the ability to have great communication skills, as well as ability to see the bigger picture to reach common goals.
We are always looking for the right person but to succeed in this role, we see that you have:
• MSc degree in Mechanical, Design Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience working in a similar role.
• Experience in manufacturing, plastic design, process engineering and product development towards consumer electronics, IoT or similar fields is a strong merit.
• SolidWorks experience
• PDM experience
• Problem solving techniques and methodical approaches.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Senior Design Engineer at Exeger you will develop and validate integration concepts in customer projects as well as develop and test current and future integration methods. You will work closely with our Electronics team to build prototypes and verify technology, use- case and integration along with working with integration and product innovation to build product road maps.
Your areas of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Handle design documentation for product specifications.
• Perform feasibility, DFA, DFM studies.
• Support our Sales team in customer meetings.
• Design and develop products from concept to mass production, often together with our customers.
• Develop and validate post processing techniques.
• Plan & assess project requirements, conceptualize, document and create mechanical designs for new products.
• Support the work how to improve and implement new process flows in PDM.
• Support projects and deliver according to the product road map.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects targeted to reduce waste, improve product quality, and reduce manufacturing cycle time.
• Work close with R&D and Design Department to set up new design implementations methods and goals which correlates with the product roadmap.
• Manage technical relationships with potential suppliers/vendors.
• Support the QA team in developing relevant tests and standards.
