Job description:
The role covers everything from database development to handling operational emergencies in a 24x7 environment. Therefore the candidate needs senior DBA experience working with support, operations and monitoring of Oracle databases as well as experience in taking part of projects as a developer. A typical day would be 80% development and 20% operational support but it varies a lot so no day is the other day alike.
Responsibilities:
• Database development in PL/SQL (advanced level).
• Oracle Database operations,support and maintenance.
• Troubleshooting of PL/SQL code, shell scripts and database operations.
• Oracle RMAN Backup and recovery.
• Performance tuning.
• Supporting developers in Oracle specific matters.
• Unix scripting.
Technologies:
• Oracle version 10g and 11g on Solaris and Windows.
• Oracle Advanced Queueing.
• Oracle sql and pl/sql
• Oracle RMAN.
• Solaris shell scripting (basic knowledge)
• VBA/VB Scripting (basic knowledge)
