The role as a Senior Data Scientist

You will communicate with business stakeholders to present key insights, explain the analytical models, and support them by providing information to improve decision-making and drive change.

We believe you have:
Machine Learning: Passion for data science, machine learning, AI and a few years of experience from building and maintaining systems of machine learning models in production environments, providing tangible value. To set yourself for success you need a combination of skills such as problem-solving, handling and understanding large data sets, knowledge in statistics and software development. You can translate business needs into technical solutions.
Advanced NLP Expertise: Proven experience in developing and implementing NLP algorithms, models, and techniques. Strong understanding of language modeling, classification, and related NLP tasks. Experience in applying large language models to enhance text-based applications, emphasizing prompt engineering and application of Retrieval-Augmented Generative (RAG) models is an advantage.
Software Development: Proficiency in Python with a focus on software engineering best practices for data science applications. Experience with code deployment, documentation, solution design, testing, and collaborative coding is essential. Hands-on experience with open-source Python framework such as Streamlit or Dash to create interactive and impactful data tools.
Deployment and DevOps: Hands on experience in building machine learning models, deploying and maintaining them in a production platform. Experience using Docker, setting up CI/CD pipelines, and working in a multiuser environment. Familiarity with Databricks for big data analytics and collaborative data science workflows is highly desirable.
Data Processing and Analysis: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively to solve complex data challenges. Expertise in processing and analyzing large-scale datasets and developing robust data preprocessing pipelines to clean, preprocess, and transform raw text data into appropriate formats for model training.
Project Management and Soft Skills: Strong project planning skills, effective stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling demos and presentations. Leadership and mentoring skills are a prerequisite for this senior role.
Collaborative Team Player: Proven ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration. Demonstrated commitment to building a positive team spirit, supporting team members, and actively contributing to a cohesive and dynamic work culture.
Education and Experience: Degree in a relevant field such as Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in data science.
