As a Senior Data Engineer, you will strengthen our Data Delivery function within the area of Data & Analytics. You will be responsible for the technical components of the AWS-based Data Platform, design reusable patterns, safeguard consistent development and drive efficient use of existing and new technology enabling capabilities and delivering on business use cases. You will drive deliveries directly by developing, but also supporting, guiding and enabling other developers. This while controlling that the technical implementation matches the target solution and overall design principles. You will do this in close collaboration with architects in the "Data and Analytics" domain as well as other digital delivery domains.

As a Senior Data Engineer for Data Delivery, you have a key role in the success of data product deliveries in the bank. You work closely with product management, business, and technical stakeholders, to create efficient data solutions.
You will be developing high-quality and efficient data pipelines on the IKANO Bank's new AWS-based Data Platform, as an integral part of our "Data & Analytics" team. During development cycles, you collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Data Analysts, and Product Owners to develop features through the Agile Release Trains.

Key responsibilities
• Be the authority for the development and management of the technical components for the new Data Platform.
• Drive efficient utilization of technology by creating, maintaining, and communicating a pattern catalogue, standards and common code.
• Develop and support data pipelines on IKANO Bank's new AWS-based Data Platform.
• Help and support developers and other stakeholders. Strive for their success on the platform.
• Support in reviewing the technology portfolio to better support different technical capabilities concerning our Data Platform.
• Transform designs and requirements into efficient, easily maintainable, and reusable code.
• Automate as much as possible, from CI/CD pipelines to testing and to data quality.
• Collaborate with, help, and support team members and other stakeholders.
• Participate in the Solution Design process.
• As we strive to work according to DevOps practices, you will share the responsibility with the rest of the team for making sure that our solutions are developed, tested, deployed and run well.
Key Qualifications
• Having a minimum of 5 years of experience working with data engineering or similar
• Several years of experience with the data technologies in AWS, e.g. S3, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Lambda, etc
• Graduated highest education with a relevant bachelor and/or master's degree. A degree in business or computer science is beneficial.
• Experience with data technologies in AWS (e.g. S3, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Lambda, RedShift, ...) or other relevant cloud technologies.
• Possess a sharing/coaching mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to have discussions on different levels with different stakeholders
• Being structured and analytical and can conceptualize complex technical issues
• Experience in data modelling, particularly for Data Warehouses, is an added advantage
• Experience in the technology of our current data platform technologies (Oracle RDBMS and Informatica) is an advantage
• Experience and knowledge of agile frameworks, preferably SAFe

• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
