Your mission
As a Data Engineer, you will join a team and work closely together to provide Paradox's various game studios and publishing teams with data. You will join the data platform team who is responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data flows of both internal and external data into our central warehouse Snowflake. You will work closely with developers, data scientists, digital analysts and BI specialists in order to deliver on end-to-end data solutions for Paradox.
At Paradox you will be part of creating the foundation which our analyst, data scientist and BI specialists use to provide insights to our games and studios. Our focus is building and maintaining a data platform that can grow with our games and players. As a data engineer, you will be part of impacting how this platform is built.
The skills we're searching for...
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and Git
Development of REST APIs
Expertise in cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake, along with a strong proficiency in query design aimed at optimizing performance within these environments
Sufficient knowledge in JavaScript and NodeJS to be able to contribute to data team services.
Long working experience with ELT orchestration tools
Good knowledge with data architecture best practices
Your English communication skills are excellent, both verbally and in writing.
You can expect to...
Lead and collaborate with a talented and diverse team to build and enhance our data warehouse, core data sets, and data consumer interfaces.
Design, build and maintain the Paradox Interactive core data models and guide, encourage, and educate stakeholders on how to use these.
Drive data architecture, ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering a culture of excellence in data management.
Act as a strategic partner to the analytics teams, delivering high-quality data sets and fostering data-informed decision-making.
Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing your expertise and promoting continuous learning and growth.
Continuously explore and adopt new technologies and best practices to improve our data architecture and consumption layer as well as team productivity.
We believe you are a service-minded, driven and curious individual, comfortable with solving problems and working autonomously within a group. Your role in the team is flexible and can include being the one who identifies viable solutions as well as implementing them, and also mentoring others.
