We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Financial Systems team. In this role, you'll be responsible for building, implementing, configuring, and maintaining internal financial systems and their integrations. You'll collaborate daily with knowledgeable stakeholders across various departments, playing a key role in empowering our colleagues to work efficiently, supported by cutting-edge tools and systems.
How you will make an impact:

You will design, own, and maintain our financial systems infrastructure, ensuring it effectively collects, processes, and stores financial data.


Your role will involve exploring, discovering, analyzing, prototyping, experimenting, and measuring. You'll work closely with stakeholders and management to define system requirements for new technology implementations while staying updated on industry trends.


As part of our team, you'll engage in continuous learning, reviewing, and adapting. You'll contribute to a culture of collective ownership and decision-making, building solutions that are effective now and adaptable for the future.


You'll implement automation to make processes repeatable, scalable, and secure, ensuring efficiency and reliability across the board.


Finally, you'll monitor systems and networks for issues and vulnerabilities, investigating security incidents in accordance with established policies and protocols.



We believe that to succeed in this role, you have experience in some/all:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working with financial data in a business environment.


Proven experience in building and managing integrations and data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Python.


Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.


Strong communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively align and share information with co-workers.


A demonstrated track record of working and communicating effectively with diverse groups of people.


Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, including managing complex projects that require cross-team collaboration.


A proven ability to deliver results both independently and as part of a team, with the initiative to seek help when necessary.


A curious and passionate drive for continuous improvement, with a growth mindset and a commitment to building and delivering great solutions to serve our users.


You are an excellent communicator, both in speaking and writing.



It would also be music to our ears if you know a bit about:

Payments backends.


NetSuite and SuiteScript or similar systems and automation libraries.


Business intelligence or analytics.
