Get an idea of the role
You will play a key role in driving our data driven transition and developing smarter methodologies to streamline and automate manual processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the core of our business, where you will play a key role in assessing and managing credit risks while contributing to our sustainable growth.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement credit risk policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for internal decision-making.
Monitor existing credit portfolios to identify potential risks and suggest proactive solutions.
Collaborate with Account Managers and other stakeholders to develop tailored factoring and merchant payment solutions.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions that may impact credit risk.
Ensure compliance with the bank's risk policies and regulatory guidelines.
Monitor the performance of Credit Risk strategies on an ongoing basis. Provide regular commentary and insights to stakeholders on performance against expectations, trends and emerging risk/opportunities.
Continuously work with other stakeholders to develop more efficient ways to take credit related decisions.
On a personal level
You are detail-oriented and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing sight of deadlines. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, you thrive in a fast-paced environment.
We believe your bring:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
Proven experience as a Credit Analyst, preferably within the banking industry (5-8 years preferred)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Familiarity with credit risk assessment frameworks and regulatory requirements.
Previous experience working with various types of decision-making systems or credit preparation systems, software development, or equivalent.
Strong technical understanding, likely from previous hands-on technical work as well as leading projects or organizations in technology development
Experience of SAS/SQL/JavaScript or a comparable programming language.
