A Senior Consultant at Praqma is expected to be an expert in the area of software development, and Continuous Delivery in particular. When customers come to us looking for advice, you will be involved in assessing their needs and forming a strategy for improving their development process. You will be part of a team working to make changes, for example setting up Continuous Delivery pipelines, Deployment automation and Automated testing. Your daily work will involve coaching and mentoring our junior consultants and the customer's own staff. You will be expected to spend some time in pre-sales activities with potential customers, and may be involved in account management.
Consultants with Praqma do not spend all their time at the customer. We invest a lot of time in training, attending internal and external courses and conferences. Senior consultants may be involved in teaching these courses and facilitating internal conferences. In addition you are expected to spend time on pet projects, reading books, listening to podcasts, researching topics that interest you, and writing blog posts.
We are looking for people with extensive experience in software development, including Continuous Delivery and/or DevOps, who are ambitious and curious. You may be interested in doing some business development, pre-sales and account management, without leaving your technical expertise behind. You could be interested in doing more training and mentoring than a pure software development role would allow. Most importantly, you understand what it looks like when software is being built well, and want to help our customers to improve and change their development process.
