hela Sverige Avalanche Studios Group and its division Avalanche Studios are crafting a cutting-edge AAA open-world fantasy game. We are dedicated to developing ambitious, externally-published AAA games and are seeking talented Concept Artists to join our team in Liverpool or Stockholm.
The Position
As a Senior Concept Artist, you will play a critical role in bringing our upcoming AAA fantasy game to life by designing visually captivating and stylized characters, creatures, and/or environments for our open-world setting. In collaboration with the Art Director and other team members, you will help establish the game's visual style and ensure the delivery of excellent concept designs. You will also serve as a mentor and expert problem-solver for your colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
• Design visually stunning, stylized characters, creatures and/or environments for an upcoming AAA stylized fantasy game
• Work closely with the Art Director and other team members to establish and maintain the visual style of the game
Required Qualifications
• Experience and passion in stylized art
• Excellent understanding of stylized character design, mythical creature anatomy, and/or open-world environment design
• Strong knowledge of sketching, concept design and illustration
• A portfolio demonstrating excellent attention to detail and ability to bring characters, creatures and/or environments to life with your art
• Previous concept art work experience of at least four years.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
Desired Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in Concept Art for AA or AAA video games
• Experience in leading and mentoring
• Passion for creating high-quality, stylized fantasy worlds
• Excellent skills in digital painting tools such as Photoshop or Procreate
• Experience in 3D modelling software such as Blender
