hela Sverige We're looking for a talented Senior Concept Artist to join our exciting new project in Stockholm.
In collaboration with Activision Blizzard, we are adapting one of the most iconic game franchises of all-time: Call of Duty. The aim is to create a Call of Duty experience on mobile, while also breaking new ground for mobile and redefining the genre. The approach and ambition is to be fresh, social, and highly accessible, while providing a very authentic game experience. You will prototype extensively, have the freedom to think outside the box, and be encouraged to stretch your expertise in ways to create surprising results.
Your role within our Kingdom
We are looking for a highly experienced and talented Senior Concept Artist to work closely with our Art Director to develop the visual direction of our game and to create amazing art resources for our Artists to work with.
You will need demonstrable experience in visual development, conceptual ideas generation, art packet creation, colour theory and illustrative rendering in various styles for both characters and environments. So this is a challenging role!
For somebody who enjoys seeing people develop and loves to be part of making others reach their full potential, as the team evolves in the future there may be opportunities to have people responsibilities alongside art production.
Skills to create thrills
You are creative, highly passionate about games and enjoy working in a flexible and fluid environment where the job will evolve over time. You have awesome skills in illustration, hand drawing and the ability to demonstrate very strong visual design through a broad range of styles and themes. You're also:
Highly creative with a true passion for games and visual development
You bring lots of experience as a concept artist with a proven track record of creating appealing characters and environments
You have great eye for composition and colour scheme exploration
You feel at home using Adobe CS package but you are a master using the real-world pencil as well
Great at generating ideas and have the willingness and ability to inspire and mentor others
You have an in-depth understanding of the visual information that artists need and want to create amazing game art
You understand game development, what is possible and where to really push the boundaries
Good communication and organizational skills
A portfolio demonstrating all aspects of your skill is required.
Tasty bonus skills
Knowledge of storyboarding and visual storytelling
Ability to use 3d packages such as Maya or Z-Brush
Experience working in an agile project environment
Previous experience in creating mobile games
Experience of/interest in coaching, managing and developing other
