hela Sverige We are looking for Senior Commodity Buyer of Management Advisory Services (MAS). As segment owner for this segments you will be responsible for developing and ensuring implementation of purchasing strategies globally within the Volvo Group.
Focus will be on tasks such as optimizing the supplier base, securing competitive and quality secured agreements, developing best practice purchasing processes etc.
The services purchased within the MAS segment area relates to managerial advice on a wide span of topics ranging from business transformation and optimization to industrial setup and organization. Services are purchased both as time & material consulting but also as fixed price deliverables.
An important part of the job is also to interact and collaborate with other parts of the Volvo Group and represent purchasing in related key stakeholder forums. Given the variety of segments included in this role stakeholders will be found in many parts of the Volvo Group.
You will report to the Commodity Manager for Professional Services.
The geographical location of the position is Gothenburg
Travel is required occasionally.
Main responsibilities
In the role as segment owner for related segments:
• Manage the segment from a strategic and global purchasing perspective.
• Develop and optimize segment strategy and purchasing process to support Volvo?s strategic objectives.
• Manage and develop the supplier base for related segment, using categorization, segmentation, evaluation, etc. in order to establish the appropriate levels of relationship.
• Manage networks for the related segment (purchasing, internal stakeholders, suppliers, etc.).
• Be the purchasing center of expertise within the Volvo Group for related segment.
• Prepare and report Key Performance Indicators development to key stakeholders.
• Lead or support large/regional/global sourcing projects or ad-hoc purchases within the segment.
This is what we are looking for.
• University degree in technology and/or business.
• Strategic purchasing experience
• Previous experience from the Management Advisory Services area and/or Business Process Outsourcing, or HR services is an asset.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Results oriented and open minded attitude.
• Very good communication and argumentation skills at all levels.
• Fluent in English knowledge in other languages in particular Swedish and French i an advantage
