The Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our R&D Sync organization, working in a hybrid setup based at our HQ in Solna, Stockholm. You will play a vital role in evolving Zyntai Director, our management system designed to orchestrate thousands of TimeNodes globally. You'll join a team that owns the full lifecycle of a modern, cloud-native product line - giving you significant influence over technical direction and architectural decisions as we continue to scale.
Your Impact
Collaborative Evolution: Take collective responsibility for the system's architecture, ensuring it remains scalable and robust as our customer base grows.
Develop & Refine: Design and implement high-quality backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
Cloud-Native Ownership: Work hands-on with our infrastructure, utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS to ensure a seamless deployment lifecycle.
Solve for Scale: Handle complex challenges related to metrics collection, real-time visualization, and alarm handling for large-scale networks.
Quality & Mentorship: Drive high engineering standards through testing and knowledge sharing in an environment where "engineers can be engineers."
Customer-Centric Problem Solving: You are happy to engage in technical dialogues with our Support and Customer Success teams - and occasionally directly with customers - to ensure our solution truly meets their needs.

Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js
Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (K8s) & OpenShift
Cloud: AWS / Public Cloud
Data: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases

In this role, you will be develop our latest cutting-edge 5G synchronization product, Zyntai
With the ongoing global deployment of 5G, networks are evolving in terms of capacity and coverage, and with the introduction of new advanced applications and use cases. Central to all these advancements is the need for resilient time synchronization.

Who You Are
You are a seasoned engineer who thrives in the intersection of backend logic and cloud infrastructure. You enjoy having a holistic view of the product and take pride in writing clean, maintainable code that solves real-world synchronization problems.
8+ years of experience in professional software engineering, specifically with technically advanced or distributed systems.
Cloud Infrastructure: You are comfortable setting up, configuring, and deploying in K8s environments.
Systems Mindset: You enjoy the responsibility of making architectural trade-offs together with your team.
Team Player: You value humble collaboration and believe the best solutions are found when we build them together.
Engaged Communicator: You have a positive mindset toward collaborating across teams. You enjoy the challenge of translating technical complexities into clear solutions for both colleagues and customers.
