For our office in Bohus, Sweden, we now have an immediate opening for a Senior Civil Engineer.
As a Senior Civil Engineer you will work in multidisciplinary project teams where you will be responsible by taking the lead in your own discipline for design-budget-planning. Within your expertise you will support construction management, -supervision, pre-commissioning and start-up of plants.
Main responsibilities
• Participate in projects and lead sub projects within own discipline
• Define project scope, lead decision making in projects and manage expectations of stakeholders within own discipline
• Perform design engineering in multi- and mono discipline projects including:
o Technical calculations, sizing and designing of civil structures and buildings
o Contribute to set up and develop layout of buildings, sites and support constructions
o Preparation of functional descriptions for the Civil and Architectural part of projects
• Manage, monitor and optimize engineering contractors
• Participate as lead engineer at pre-commissioning and start-up of plants
• Document critical calculations, detailed drawings and all deliveries
• Perform technical services and propose improvements to customer
• Manage technical evaluations of quotations and support sourcing in contract conditions and negotiations
• Identify opportunities, initiates, formulates, decides and implements on improvements in design engineering related to Civil and Architectural work
• Keep a relevant expertise level and share the knowledge in the company as well as coach other employees in the area of expertise.

• BSc or higher degree within Civil or Architectural Engineering or similar
• At least 10 years' relevant experience working in chemical or industrial plant projects
• Experience with conceptual and detailed design, pre-commissioning and start-up of plants
• Thorough knowledge in design engineering and the use of relevant tools
• Understanding the interfaces of related disciplines
• Results oriented and very adaptable
• Open communicator to all levels
• Team oriented with strong ability to cooperate
• Ability to coach
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to travel.
