For this role we are looking for someone with a genuine passion for engineering the best vehicles in the world. You will be working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company, leading the way in the hypercar business. You'll work alongside accomplished, world-renowned engineers on perhaps the most exciting automotive programs in existence today.
As a Senior CFD Methodology engineer you will be working as part of our growing Aerodynamics department. In this role you will develop cutting edge CFD methodologies and you will be responsible for the improvement of our CFD processes.
Responsibilities
- Optimisation of our CFD workflow with a view to meeting the efficiency and throughput targets.
- Contributing to the improvement of the numerical techniques employed to ensure the validity of the simulations.
- Writing code and developing analysis tools to support the requirements of the CFD users.
- Benchmarking new software.
- Developing new methods and correlation with wind tunnel/track data.
- Investigating and developing new technologies to improve CFD tools.
- Develop CFD tools and make sure they are at Automotive leading edge technology.
- Communicate effectively with other groups within the company.
- Manage on a daily basis to support requests from aerodynamicists regarding CFD tools.
- Mentoring junior members within the team.
Need to have
- Ph.D or M.Sc with a specialisation in fluid dynamics and/or numerical methods.
- Working experience within Motorsport/Automotive/Aerospace preferred.
- Familiar in utilising CFD codes and Linux system.
- Must have proven experience with OpenFoam, ANSA, Paraview and Catia.
- Experience developing in C++, Python and bash.
- Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- A "can-do" attitude in problem solving and attention to details.
- Self motivated and willing to take responsibility.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
