About the job
As Senior Category Manager to our client in Stockholm you will be part of the Marketing Category Organization reporting to Senior Category Director. You will take ownership of developing, driving and implementing category strategies/plans (both on a short term and long-term basis) across a portfolio of brands and retail customers (incl Private Label), ensuring the delivery of growth for our client.
Areas of responsibility for the category include:
* Full P&L responsibility.
* Lead a team of 5 direct reports
* Setting and driving the strategy for the category, creating ambition and developing the team along the way.
* Building category growth based on consumer and retail customer demands and insights.
* Build tomorrows brands and the category through leadership in innovation and product development.
* Strengthen brands by building brand equity and brand shares through strong ATL/BTL (plans and new product launches.)
* Work closely with our global teams to develop categories
* Secure strategic alignment across key stakeholders within Sweden
* You will be a key stakeholder in the Category leadership team, setting the direction for the category organization
* Collaborate across retail sales, foodservice, supply chain, and customer marketing, and lead a team of highly competent and experienced Brand Manager and Product Managers.
Who are you?
* We anticipate that you have 10 years of business and marketing experience with an additional 3-5 years of experience from FMCG. As a leader, you have a strong track record creating of building, leading and driving dynamic, senior teams and influencing large cross-functional organization.
* You have experience from a similar position or a relevant business development role during which you have successfully created and/or developed a complex category.
* You have at least 3 years of experience of people management. You have experience from developing break through innovation and activation plans that shapes and grows categories.
The role has a strong link to the global category organization. You therefore need to be a great influencer and communicator navigating around stakeholders on different levels to drive the category. Your business acumen in combination with creativity and energy makes us believe that you can both operate independently and in symbiosis with our organization with focus on developing the category further and on delivering results.
