Sales and Production Planning (SPP) is responsible for Volvo Cars short- and long-term volume planning. This includes the development of the official global Industry Forecasts, Sales Forecasts, Production Volume Program and overall Capacity Planning. We are running the Capacity improvement program which gives opportunity to join a team in the midst of development with an exciting future. We are looking for a Senior Capacity Manager who is team lead for the Operational Capacity Mgmt team, which manages component areas within Strategic & Operational Capacity Management (S&OCM). The position reports to the Senior Director, S&OCM and is part of the Component area team. S&OCM owns and drives capacity data and process from strategy to running production in close cooperation and proactive interaction with the Programs (GCE/VLM), P&Q (Procurement, R&D) and other Volvo Car Group stakeholders.
What you'll do
You will lead the Operational Capacity mgmt. team in operational topics while simultaneously managing the S&COM part of Volvo cars production program process. Within each function and assignment, you will then take necessary decisions to secure progress and ongoing development. In addition you will also be:
* Process owner of Capacity check process
* Acting for Senior Director S&OCM when appointed
* Member of S&OCM MT team
* Drive sustainable solutions within S&OCM
* Secure and anchor internally by creating transparency through precise communication
* Implement changes and continuously improve the working processes and procedures
* Act as subject matter expert (SME) where needed
* Represent S&OCM both internally and externally for Volvo Cars
You and your skills
You have and university degree in business/Economics or equivalent with 5-10 years of experience within the aforementioned competence areas. Within your past roles you have demonstrated management, leadership, and project management. The ideal candidate will also have a deep understanding of purchasing/product/order to delivery processes along with a good understanding of marketing sales to order process.
Who are you?
On a personal level, we are looking for someone with the ability to build relationships and establish networks at different levels. You have a structured and analytic approach to work tasks. On a team level you excel at coordinating, training and communicating, with a coaching approach. Holistic views and conceptual thinking are second nature.
