Sales and Production Planning (SPP) is responsible for Volvo Cars short- and long-term volume planning. This includes the development of the official global Industry Forecasts, Sales Forecasts, Production Volume Program and overall Capacity Planning. All of this is done in close cooperation with other stakeholders within Volvo Cars. Are you passionate about people and the Volvo brand? We are looking for a Senior Capacity Component Specialist within Strategic & Operational Capacity Management (S&OCM) which is part of SPP. The position will report to the Senior Director, S&OCM and be part of the Component area team. S&OCM owns and drives all capacity issues from strategy to running production, in close cooperation and proactive interaction with the Programs (GCE/VLM), P&Q (Procurement, R&D) and other Volvo Car Group stakeholders. We are running the Capacity improvement program which gives opportunity to join a team of development with an exciting future
Main tasks and responsibilities:
* Act as a subject matter expert through the whole lifecycle cross platforms globally
* Take lead and drive within its responsible area to secure together with Product buyer, Commodity buyer, SQM Engineer, and Constraints Engineer that the required capacity per component is secured incl. ramp up and phase-out
* Take lead for capacity data for its responsible area in cooperation with Capacity Cluster Manager within S&OCM
* Build up capacity data in cooperation with Procurement from Sourcing according to VPDS in Product Development process to Phase-out
* Lead capacity assurance both within the monthly volume program process (Production program) short term as well as mid and long term
* Drive capacity investigations, according to Capacity Increase Request (CIR) process, prepare data for decision, based on business case, lead time and supplier capacity
* Secure production order system (ARO) is correctly updated and aligned with available capacities when in constraint
* Lead or take part in task force team when requested linked to capacity
* Measure and follow up agreed performance indicators
* Close cooperation cross the S&OCM team and other functions within Volvo cars
Profile:
Required Qualifications
* 3-5 years of automotive experience
* Experience of complex supply chain flows and its impact on planning
* Good knowledge of logistics and lead times on material handling
* Ability to judge business cases linked to supplier investments
* Excellent knowledge of Excel
* High level agility within product structure (KDP)
Preferred Qualifications
* Purchasing/SQM/R&D (GDL) experience
* Product program experience (VPDS)
* Process development experience
* Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment

Education
* University degree Business, Economics, Engineer or equivalent
