The section Vehicle and Body NVH CAE is a part of the NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) Center in the Product Development area at Volvo Car Group. The NVH Center has the responsibility to ensure that the attribute Noise and Vibration is supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer and legal requirements. Within the CAE section we have the responsibility for both Vehicle and Body NVH CAE from a complete vehicle perspective in car programs and Advanced Engineering. The team works integrated in all project phases, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the NVH attribute in our cars.
As a Senior CAE Engineer Powertrain NVH your working area will be to strengthen the deliverables and development of next generation CAE tools and analysis. You will perform NVH CAE analysis for Powertrain issues such as idle, acceleration, transient load cases etc. You will also participate in car program teams and communicate analysis results and guide the design work from an NVH perspective.
Main responsibilities
• Participate in the requirement setting of the NVH attribute at system level
• Participate in the development of improved or new methods and model capability
• Participate in implementation of new software / hardware
• Lead and take responsibility in NVH CAE assignments dependent of experience and knowledge
Required qualifications
• Minimum M.Sc. Engineer or equivalent work experience
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Driver's licence
• Competencies in Powertrain NVH, structural dynamics and/or acoustics
• Knowledge in Nastran, Ansa, Matlab and Hyperworks is meritorious
