Senior CAD/CAE Method Engineer

The section CAD and Mechanical Development is a part of the department Operational Development, within the unit Strategy & Vehicle Concepts. The main responsibility in this section is to conduct operational development related to CAD, CAD/CAE integrated methods and mechanical development.

As a Senior CAD/CAE Method Engineer you will lead method development project, train and support design engineers as well as together with attribute CAE groups perform strategy work.

Main responsibilities

• Develop CAD integrated CAE methods that enables the designer to perform simulation and analysis of attribute requirement fulfilment, based on component and sub-system level CAD-data
• Training and support in associative CAD based CAE methods
• Cooperate with attribute CAE engineers to enable more efficient CAE loops in development work
• Develop processes, methods and tools for efficient Non Geometric Data (NGD) handling

Required qualifications

• MSc in Engineering
• Experience from Durability CAE, other attribute areas such as NVH, Vehicle Dynamics are meritorious
• Experience from automotive product development
• Knowledge in CATIA V5 or equivalent CAD program
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Swedish written and spoken is meritorious
