We are looking for a talented developer that can create an even better experience for our large user base. If you enjoy working with high availability systems handling thousands of requests per second and gigbits of throughput we want to hear from you. You'll join a group of tech-savvy aviation enthusiasts in our brand new office in down-town Stockholm. Free sodas are always available to turbo-charge your development!
You are a skilled developer that enjoy engaging with a team but can also focus on solo projects. You have a strong inner drive and you continuously meet and exceed high-quality standards and deadlines. Programming is more than a job for you and you enjoy pet technology hobbies at home too.
Required skills
• At least 5 years of C++ systems development with the STL
• Strong database experience including MySQL and optimization
• Natural focus on high standards and thorough testing, delivering quality results to tight deadlines
• Experience interacting with external API services including JSON
• Familiar with modern version control systems, including git and svn
• Proven ability to actively cooperate as a key member of a technical team
• Strong written and spoken English
Beneficial skills
• Aviation industry experience and passionate about Flightradar24
• Track record developing distributed and robust high availability systems, most likely in a cloud environment
• Experience with other IT skill and programming languages including scripting
• Enjoy applying your strong analytic skills to complicated algorithmic challenges
• Experience administering network systems and production Linux servers
• Embedded system development on the latest hardware
• Relevant degree in computer science or similar
