hela Sverige Electrical Purchasing, is looking for a Senior Buyer located in Goteborg or Lyon
Our Department is managing all the Electrical and Electronics purchasing for Volvo 3P. We are currently approx 25 persons in Europe located in Göteborg and Lyon. The department consists of two buying groups.
The Electrical Purchasing of Volvo 3P is a global organization responsible for the Direct Material buying activities of Electronic and Electrical components, modules and solutions for the truck customers worldwide: Volvo, Renault, Mack and Nissan.
Our main purchases spread from advanced electronics (ECU’s, Instrumentation Clusters, Audio Systems, active safety electronics) to power storage, supply and distribution (Batteries, Alternators and Wiring Harness).
At Electrical Purchasing, we strive to work with best-in-class global suppliers, who have the Electronics and Electrical expertise as their core business and also proactively provide our customers with advanced solutions and the latest technologies. Second to our people, we consider our suppliers as one of the most important assets to our team.
The current challenge for us is the new Global Electrical Architecture Platform.

Responsibilities:
General responsibilities include:
• Manage a purchasing portfolio with full Profit & Loss responsibility. Purchase of parts and components in accordance with defined strategies
• Perform sourcing, negotiations, requisition handling and ordering
• Support projects, in-house and at internal customers
• Support in developing and implementing strategies and cost savings activities
• Manage the working relationships with suppliers: solve quality, delivery, cost issues
• Report and forecast commercial and technical rationalizations
• Utilize the benefit of co-operation with other Volvo Group companies
• Manage day-to-day site operations within quality, projects, cost reductions, delivery and supplier relations
• Act as a mentor to less experienced Buyers within the department
Qualifications:
• University degree in Engineering and/or Business/Economics (extensive experience and strong performance can substitute for a lack of diploma)
• Enjoy doing business
• Documented experience of 5 years in Purchasing and/or extensive negotiation experience in a supplier/customer relationship
• Documented extensive experience in Project management and a business oriented mindset with a financial and legal understanding
• Experience from managing development suppliers is seen as an advantage
• Experience from software sourcing is seen as an advantage.
• Excellent in communication and we highly appreciate a positive attitude & mindset
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• An analytic nature
• The job position requires that you are a team player and a self-starter, with the ability to take initiative and actively participate or coach different projects
• Good prioritization skillsand target /result oriented approach
• The position includes travelling
