hela Sverige Volvo Penta is expanding our electromobility purchasing group and are looking for a senior buyer that will handle the scope of converters, charging and electric distribution systems.

The mission for the role
Electromobility is growing fast, and Volvo Penta vision is to be the world leader in sustainable power systems. In this role, you will be responsible for supplier scouting, early phase sourcing and driving business negotiations. You will be leading the purchasing activities related to involvement of suppliers in technology development, consolidate and drive business in the portfolio. Furthermore, you will be responsible for having the global expertise on all QDCFTSR aspects (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management). In your role as senior buyer you will also be responsible for identifying and implement synergies with other Volvo Group companies.

We are looking someone with the ability to drive new development and who can provide direction and guidance. The most important thing for us is that you are experienced buyer with a purchasing knowledge from related areas. To be successful in the role we also believe that you are responsible, dependable and that you like to do business, since that is what this job is about. Furthermore, you have a relevant academic education.
Other people describe you as a flexible person with a can-do attitude and a person that is always trying to develop, both yourself and your work environment. You are good in strategic thinking and execution, and you see yourself as a true team player with belief that the best results are achieved together while having fun!
Required knowledge and experiences
Experienced buyer preferably with connection to the automotive business
Knowledge and high interest in both business and technology
Education at university level within engineering, economy, logistics or similar areas
