hela Sverige The newly established Vehicle Adaptation (VA) Purchasing organization within GTO Purchasing is looking for a Driven, Initiative taking and Structured Team Player to take part in the transformation of this interesting and focused part of the Volvo Group.
VA Purchasing today support three different areas: Customer Adaptation (CA), Special Vehicles (SV), Trailers and Superstructures (TST). All areas are very close to end customers and require candidates with business acumen and an interest in working cross functionally to find solutions that match customer expectations. The current team is recognized and highly respected for the current process allowing a very short lead time from customer request to production.
VA Purchasing was formed January 1st 2016 and a lot of effort is currently put into finding synergies between the three areas so a willingness to take part in the transformation and shape the new organization is a must in a successful candidate.
The successful candidate will report to the Purchasing Manager, Vehicle Adaptation EMEA. Main purpose of the job will be to manage body builders in the Nordic markets, especially focused on pushed offers such as Nyckelfärdig in Sweden. Key success for the candidate will be strong truck knowledge and ability work closely with applicable market companies and factories.
Responsibilities
• To effectively manage the daily working relationship with your suppliers (delivery, cost, quality)
• To Search for opportunities to improve cost and take action to implement findings
• To secure that purchasing acts in accordance with expectations from internal stakeholders and external customers.
• To develop existing and potential suppliers. Perform purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.
• Build strategies for his/her area
• To follow-up contracts and agreements with suppliers and ensure implementation.
• To contribute to cross functional maintenance activities.
• Strive to increase the sales by offering supplier concept to the GTS

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, technical or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 year applicable experience in truck industry and strong technical knowledge on the full truck
• Experience with body builders is an asset
• Experience in purchasing is an asset
