Indirect Procurement - Senior Category Buyer - Human Capital & Corporate Services

This position will be part of Global Indirect Procurement and belong to the Human Capital & Corporate Services team. Together with our stakeholders, this team represents the entire company and drives the strategy and tactics in how we secure the right talent and services needed to secure a successful transformation of our company. You will work actively with areas such as consultant management, capacity- and resource strategy as well as services to support our stakeholders within Finance, Legal, and Manufacturing. You will play an important role in securing that we get access to the best talent and services on the market at the best cost levels.
To be successful in our team you need to be a procurement professional with the right business mindset, together with high ambition, drive, and attitude. Ultimately, it's all about collaborating to create a superior experience for the people who buy and drive a Volvo, as well as our internal organization.
What you'll do
• Lead and support cross-functional sourcing projects including preparation, execution, analysis, negotiation, supplier selection, and contract management
• Develop and implement category- and supplier strategies
• Create and maintain commercial relations with suppliers and stakeholders
• Work proactively with key business stakeholders to understand your product/service, its market, supply base, and potential innovation to find ways to increase value for Volvo Cars - including cost, quality, and sustainability
• Dare to question status quo or decided routes with stakeholders, suppliers, people; and work proactively to build better understanding and work towards common solutions
• There will be some need for business travel.
What you'll bring

You love creating from scratch and prefer to throw yourself in rather than sit and wait for your turn. You plan, prioritize, and structure your work to achieve goals.
You have experience doing business in an international environment with global suppliers, where strong business acumen is a prerequisite
You have a university degree or equivalent experience, and automotive experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
